About 10 miles or more out of the Eskimo village of Shaktoolik, we were surprised by a welcoming committee! I was traveling with the Colonel on this day, who was the main attraction all along the trail. This party proceeded on to the mountain, we had just come down, to enjoy a "picnic"!
