Today a work crew of five men came from Red Deer to work on a construction project. For some time I have been building a two bay garage with a wood shed in the end and today we worked on putting the metal on the roof and and got started on the sides. A young man, Jadyn, had come out to help teach Sunday School with the Prairie Bible College students and then got his church interested in helping out. This team came from the Living Stones Church in Red Deer. It turned out to be a beautiful day to work, for this time of year. It is a two hour drive out here from Red Deer and they arrived before 10:00. I took a few 'before' pictures as everyone was getting started. We did get most of the roof on, but I was too busy to think about taking pictures.
I did get a before & after picture of putting the doors on. An overhead door company installed two insulated doors. It was a $3,000 installation and was partly donated by the company and the rest paid for by the church.Below is the 'Before' picture at the start of the day.
And below is several hours later with the doors installed. It was a real blessing to have this company do this so I wouldn't have to spend forever figuring out how to do it. They are very nice doors, very well made!
So today was a busy work day. We worked right up until it got dark. Then this evening we got three children who came and stayed with us until monday. I had violin lessons tonight with two of our students. This picture is taken upstairs in our house which we are making into an office, which is still under construction.
Karen's activities today consisted of preparing lessons for the four Sunday School classes that will be held tomorrow.
