Our day always begins with getting a roaring fire in the fireplace.
The snow ended and this morning was beautiful, clear skies with heavy frost all over. The temperature was -20 degrees C.
The work crew arrived bright and early. It's a two hour drive from Red Deer. They divided up into two teams one to work on the church floor and the other to put metal siding on the garage. Below is the crew putting in the insulated floor in the church. With this fix the furnace runs far less.
The other crew is working on the siding here in the next two pictures. Before noon it warmed up great. It must have been a little above freezing.
After the work crew left I hauled a load to the dump. Then I picked up the kids that are spending the night so they can be in Sunday School tomorrow. Karen spent a long time going around to homes informing them about the pancake dinner tomorrow. I made a pot of chili and got my exercises in.
No, Smoky is not allowed in on the couch, but obviously he can't resist the temptation of sleeping in front of the warm fireplace!
