After much counsel & study & seeking God's will, we purchased this Dodge truck for use in the Arctic. This picture was taken at our daughters home in Indiana on our Dec. 2001 trip to the Eastern U.S.. We found it very expensive to encounter breakdowns and do repairs in the isolated Arctic regions, so from a financial standpoint we felt this was the best way to go. We were able to pay a little over half of the purchase price, and we plan on paying the balance as soon as possible to minimize interest payments. So we are continuing to raise funds for the Vehicle Project.
We choose to get a diesel engine because of its reliability and longevity. This will last a long time. But in order to keep it in good condition for traveling, we hope to acquire donated vehicles to use for local use. They wouldn't have to be in as good shape since they won't be used far from home, and by putting the wear & tear of local use, cold starts, etc. on older vehicles it will serve to keep this truck in top shape for a long, long time. Anyone having a vehicle to donate please contact us at the address, phone #, or e-mail listed on the home page.
