Upslope Conditions Over the Continental Divide

Here we are approaching the Continental Divide between the Arctic Ocean and the Pacific River System. The wind is coming from the other side of the mountains. As the air mass rises it condenses into cloud and the cloud is rolling over the top and down this side of the mountains. As the air mass moves into the dry air on this side the mosture dissipates into the dry air. The road went right into the cloud.
