At Safety, Alaska, 20 miles out of Nome, we had to bed the dogs on the open tundra. Each dog had a little 'fox hole' dug in the snow to keep him out of the wind. Here Paul's gang line is tied to my snowmachine, since there was nothing else to tie on to. Looks like they are getting their supper.
