Dear Friends,
June ended with Karen in Old Crow with a VBS team. They got back on June 6th and the time spent in Old Crow had a profound effect on the team. A local Sunchild lady was in the team and it was her first time traveling very far from home and she loved it up there. They have a special invitation to return next year. Karen's neck has improved some but she still wears a brace part time.
We are moved out of our house and still working on getting it torn down so we can build on the same spot. We set up our office in a camping trailer and living in the cook tent and partly set up in the church upstairs. We are seeing answers to prayer in getting set up to build the new house. Everything is a battle here, but God is working things out as we work through everything.
This month we had our Sunchild VBS and the Korean teams also held VBS on the O'Chiese Reserve. Both sides were well attended but O'Chiese had a much larger group than before. We are putting our VBS pictures on a separate page so you have to follow the link to that page.
Going into August Karen is coordinating a VBS team with Child Evangelism Fellowship to do three VBS's, including one to the Big Horn Reserve out in the mountains. So this is a prayer request for daily travel and God's blessing to the Stoney people.
Five people were killed in local car accidents due to bad conditions on local gravel roads, including one very close to the mission. There have been numerous other deaths as well lately.
In the picture below the truck is unloading a very special set of playground swings to be set up in the playground. We had a donation given toward this and a friend in Drayton Valley took on the project. It should be set up and finished in August.
Below, Monica from Drayton Valley brought two helpers for Sunday School. We depend on volunteers every week for the Sunday School classes and youth groups.

This breakfast is made up entirely of food from our garden and chickens! The zukini squash, potatoes, onions were all just picked minutes before and the eggs were just laid as well.

This big Poplar tree has to be taken down to make way for the new house. But it had to be taken down in pieces because of the buildings and power line, so I had to climb up and take the top down first.
Nanuk is interested in watching this curious deer who probably is interested in heading for the garden.
We got nine chickens that just started laying in June. A couple of them are already laying large double yokers including this record breaker!
We had so much rain that they had to open the overflow gates and release excess water from the dam north of us on the Brazeau River. This is the first time I've seen this happen.
This time of year we often have rainbows like this.
