Dear Friends,

Winter cold & snow held on through most of April ending with a bad blizzard, but it has warmed up as I write this and our snow left except for sheltered spots.

We had good help from teams for our regular services, Sunday School and youth groups. Planning for our house has progressed with floor plans being finalized, and basement cement contractor hopefully lined up. We are packing to move out into the cook tent for the summer so the present house can be taken down and the new house built on the same spot, with all the hook ups in place.

Karen ended April with a sore neck and is getting treatment, so that is a prayer request because it has been painful and slowing her down with all the activity going on.

In the picture below the team from the Caroline Nazarene Church is holding a tea boiling competion for the youth group. The first team to build a fire and get the water boiling is the winner!

The kids had a lot of fun and were fast getting their fires going.

On this day there were two Korean teams from Calgary. The team below worked with our Sunchild youth.  Here they are after a team de-briefing.

On the same day this team worked with the youth on the O'Chiese Reserve, and posed for a picture after the debriefing. One of our youth stayed and took part in both pictures.

The folks from Drayton Valley were a team of two ladies. This was Katies first time to come and help.

So this is a team picture of all three teachers!

These two Korean helpers are brothers, Jinsu and Minsu, and come from Calgary twice a month to teach Sunday School classes. Often coming with the Saturday teams and making the trip again on Sunday!!

Rick and Jeaneth came again in April to hold our Friday youth group, all the way from Three Hills, Alberta. Rick is the Canadian director of Action International, which is an organization of over 200 missionaries.

We have a long driveway which is just dirt and gravel and sometimes cars get stuck in the mud, so we are constantly hauling gravel to fill in the worst spots.

Please keep us in prayer as we will be super busy with the weather warming up and with summer activities. Karen will be taking a team to the Yukon for VBS in June...  In Jesus, Rodger & Karen
