Dear Friends,

The month of June began with Karen still in the States visiting family. The occasion was the graduation of Kallie, our son Reuben's daughter, from High School. Karen got back on the 5th. In June Reuben was ordained in the Global Methodist Church. This is the conservative group of churches formed by churches that left the Methodist denomination over moral issues in the denomination.

I (Rodger) had to re-schedule my one year medical checkup for my knee operation in the States. It is now set for mid August. I'll be driving down for that and visiting friends and churches along the way. My knee has healed up and it is wonderful to have the use of my leg back. The only side effect is some numbness in my heel, but I have gotten used to that. My throat is damaged from the fire we were fighting in May and hasn't improved. I haven't been able to get any treatment from the Canadian health care system because they put me on a waiting list, just to have it examined. So I have to wait until around October to have it checked out. July is filled with VBS Bible camps here at Sunchild, O'Chiese, Big Horn, and Karen is taking a team up to Old Crow in the Yukon, so all that will be our main prayer requests.

The Ladies groups and youth groups were really busy in June with a lot going on with them, so pray for these adults and youth. Numerous teams and helpers came in June from central Alberta.

Well, I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story, below.

The Sunchild school has several Christian teachers. In the picture below, several of them came, with some of their family members, to have a dinner and special prayer meeting for the school kids. These folks are true prayer warriors and are a wonderful blessing to us.

Teams from the Korean churches in Calgary were here to work on both Reserves. They are coming every month and will be here for two weeks in July for the VBS's.

A team of ladies came from Caroline, Alberta to hold Sunday School. This is the younger class getting started.

...and this is the teen class below.

...and here's another picture of the younger kids class.

This is the team of three ladies that came for the Sunday School. It takes a lot of love to drive so far and work as hard as they do.

In June we got a new mower that was paid for by the folks up at Drayton Valley. We have several acres of grass to cut, and when it dries out it is a serious fire hazard if it isn't kept cut, so we are 'very' blessed to have this now with the summer heating up!

This is out behind the church with the grave yard in the top corner. I was going to cut the grass today, but instead we will just enjoy the wild flowers for a while!

Lots of wild flowers in the grave yard also. The big purple ones are volunteers.

The tall purple flowers show up in this picture.

Several years ago we planted two tiny Blue Spruce. They finally have really taken off and their needles feel like rubber instead of being hard and sharp.

We have lots of these popping up here and there all over.

Friends in Rocky gave us some laying hens. All three hens are laying...the beautiful golden eggs. Right now is the longest days, with the sky right on the horizon showing some light all night. Mr. Rooster starts his screaming act at 4:30 AM, just a few yards from our bedroom window, and never gets a sore throat.

Please keep us in prayer for the busiest month of July, and please keep praying for help to come and stay. If you haven't checked out the former updates, they each have lots of different news items. We have been able to keep current monthly updates posted for the last year and a half and plan on keeping doing so each month as we go. God Bless....Rodger & Karen Rinker
